Phoenixprograms is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals for the Day Camp Animator position in Quebec. Starting June 16, you will supervise children ages 5-12, ensuring safety and planning activities in an inclusive environment.

The role requires experience working with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to work for the full duration of the contract until August 8. Candidates must be creative, reliable, and willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification. Bilingualism is an asset.

Contract Duration: June 16 – August 8, 2025

Salary: $16–$17/hour, based on experience

Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and creative individuals to join our summer team as Camp Animators. Working with children ages 5–12, Camp Animators will plan and lead engaging daily activities in a fun, inclusive, and safe environment. This position is funded by Government of Canada’s Summer Youth Employment initiative and therefore the age of the candidate must be 18-30.

Key Dates:

Camp Program: June 29 – July 31

Program Hours: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Extended Care: 8:00–9:00 AM & 4:00–5:30 PM

End of Contract: August 8 (includes wrap-up week)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise a group of children ages 5–12, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan, organize, and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, sports, and themed activities
• Support the implementation of the overall summer program in alignment with camp values
• Participate in pre-camp training and staff meetings
• Communicate effectively with camp staff, parents, and children
• Maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all participants
• Assist with set‑up, clean‑up, and daily transitions, including extended care
• Report any incidents, accidents, or concerns to supervisors promptly
