Job summary

A technology services company is seeking a Data Stage developer to work in Toronto. This role involves developing custom SQL scripts, designing ETL processes, and assisting with data structure mapping to Cognos BI. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of Datastage experience, knowledge of Informatica, and strong data architecture skills. This position is a contract lasting 3-6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Datastage developer.
• 1 year experience with Datastage version 7.5.
• Excellent experience with Informatica.
• Knowledge of dimensional and relational data modeling techniques.
• Must have experience working on large systems development or systems integration initiatives.

Job description

Our client is seeking a DataStagedeveloper to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment. You will have strong analytical skills, experienced in database design and implementation, and have deep experience with Informatica.

This is a 3-6 month contract.

Responsibilities

• Development of custom SQL scripts and stored procedures
• Development of the ETL design document and transformation rules
• Design, develop and implement transformation processes using Data Stage that will load/extract data into/from databases from/to various sources/destinations.
• Performance tuning of mapping and ETL processes, as required.
• Data Conversion Planning and Implementation
• Prepare and execute test cases for unit and integration testing
• Assisting in/working with the client and other consultants to map the data structure to a Cognos Business Intelligence environment (ReportNet)

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Datastage developer
• 1 year experience with Datastage version 7.5
• Excellent experience with Informatica
• Knowledge of dimensional and relational data modeling techniques
