Job summary

Flexstaf I.T. Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Database Administrator in Toronto, Ontario.

The role focuses on database administration for on-premises and Azure cloud environments, with emphasis on Microsoft Dynamics GP, Salesforce CRM integrations, and migration of databases to cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on SQL Server experience, proficiency in reporting tools and .NET MVC, SharePoint/MS Teams, and MS365 administration.

Qualifications

• Database administration for on-premises and cloud (Azure) environments.
• Hands-on management of SQL Server databases with backups, tuning, and performance.
• Migration of on-prem databases to Azure cloud solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Dynamics 365 Finance modules.
• Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and integration points.
• Proficiency with SQL reporting tools (SQL Report Builder).
• Experience in eCommerce/website support using .NET MVC and SharePoint.
• MS 365 administration and development including SharePoint, MS Teams, Power Apps.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimize physical database designs; perform capacity planning, installation, migration, and performance tuning.
• Manage day-to-day operations of Microsoft Dynamics GP; collaborate with finance team.
• Support ticketing and CRM integrations (Salesforce) and reporting needs.
• Assist in migration projects to Azure cloud; set up target VM sizing and network/security configurations.
• Support public websites using Microsoft stack and integrate third-party APIs.

Job Title

Description

Must Have:

Database administration, On-premises and On-cloud (Azure)

Microsoft Dynamics - Great plains (GP )

Migration of on-premises Databases to cloud

Hands on experience with Database Administration specially SQL server, maintaining and managing databases as a DBA, Senior level experience as a DBA is required.

Hands on experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great plain and finance systems, Microsoft Business Central and Finance system concepts, Senior level experience with GP is required.

Hands on experience with Sales force CRM

Hands on experience with different report-generating tools specifically SQL Report builder.

Hands on experience with Application development (e.g eCommerce and Website & Sharepoint /MS Teams Online support) in a Microsoft Cloud environment, leveraging technologies like .Net MVC, MS SQL, Team Foundation Server and SharePoint, to provide capacity to the team in support of the Strategic Plan.

Experience with MS 365 administration/development of SharePoint, MS Teams, Power Apps/Platform, and ticketing systems like Shopify and Siriusware and other SaaS applications

Experience with supporting Public Websites that use Content Management Solutions built on the Microsoft development stack (Umbraco etc) and integrating third party software API's with Microsoft web applications and technologies.

Confirm target VM sizing and disk configuration.

Configure migration project and replication prerequisites.

Prepare target network/security settings for migrated VMs.

Prepare backup, monitoring, and Defender baseline plan for migrated workloads.

Responsibilities

Creates physical database designs and operates and administers the database management system (DBMS) including database optimization, capacity planning, installation and migration, database design, performance tuning, backup and recovery.

Manages day to day operation of Microsoft Dynamics GP and works with finance team

Note: this role can be extended based on the performance for next 6 months/1 year

For OSC, where there is significant focus on ticketing systems, CRM - salesforce , reporting, and integrations, practical experience with SQL Server + Salesforce Administration + Great Plains support and implementation+ Migration of on-premises databases to Azure cloud environment
