A multinational data management company in Burlington is seeking a Data Steward to ensure data governance and quality. You will work closely with various business stakeholders and will manage critical data accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate has strong SQL skills, experience with data quality tools, and effective communication skills. As a Data Steward at DLL you will be a key contributor in building out and executing on an organization-wide data governance framework. You will work with business SMEs and stakeholders to ensure that critical data is accurate and readily available. You will be the single point of contact for data-related topics within your assigned scope. This includes the enforcement of adherence to data governance policies standards and procedures on topics like data quality definitions reference data and lineage. You will act as a liaison for Canada in working with the global Data Management team.

Implement data quality checks.
Monitor data quality validation rules.
Perform data quality analysis.
Fix and resolve data quality issues retroactively; but also coordinate with IT and the business to implement proactive controls to enforce data quality at source.
Monitor timeliness of data delivery.
Ensure data definitions are in place and applied consistently.
Ensure effective implementation of data models.
Create data documentation and keep it current as organizational change occurs : lineage reference data domain values & mappings metadata etc.
Participate in financial data reconciliation activities.
Participate in data testing efforts as part of organizational change.
Help to enforce adherence to data governance policy and standards.
Support the Data Owners on achieving data management objectives.
Help ensure and enforce compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security protocols.
Provide training and guidance to business users on data governance principles.
Liaison with the reporting team to understand and resolve data-related challenges and obstacles to analytics.
Support your customers (i.e. internal stakeholders and report consumers) in all data-related matters following the core DLL mandate of we put our customers first.

Advanced MS SQL skills specifically pertaining to data quality analysis.
Demonstrated skills and experience in producing data quality scorecards.
Experience in working with data management tools / platforms : for example MS Purview Informatica etc.
Minimum of intermediate-level skills in report / dashboard development tools Power BI preferred.
Advanced skills in creating and maintaining technical and business data documentation.
Experience in working closely with business stakeholders across all levels (business process SMEs senior leaders etc.)
Minimum intermediate-level knowledge of Data Governance frameworks.
Understanding and execution of system user and process controls to enforce data quality.
Adept at communicating with stakeholders and managing their expectations.
Ability to problem‑solve and focus on the lowest level of detail.
Customer‑focused mindset for supporting stakeholders and Data Owners.

Applicable pay range
$ 75898.40 - $113847.60
DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills years of relevant experience you possess and other work‑related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range especially those with less experience or qualification.
This position is subject to the terms of DLLs compensation plans and policies. Further the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees including healthcare benefits pension plan vacation sick leave parental leave possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are subject to eligibility.
