Job summary

Spaulding Ridge is an advisory and IT implementation firm expanding its Data Solutions team. We seek a Data Solutions Architect to lead pre-sales, estimation, scoping, and design of modern analytic solutions.

You will work closely with client partners and senior team members to deliver tangible business outcomes. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in BI/Data analytics, strong SQL, and experience with cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data engineering lifecycles from research to deployment.
• Ability to design analytics solutions aligned with client goals.
• Proven POC development for modern analytics stacks on cloud platforms.
• Hands-on with ETL/ELT tools such as ADF, Fivetran, Snowflake OpenFlow, NiFi.
• Proficiency with BI/analytics tools: Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Looker, Omni.
• Experience with Snowflake, AWS, Azure, and/or GCP data stores.
• Mentor and develop junior resources on projects.
• Strong client communication and solution recommendation skills.
• Support proposals, pre-sales, estimation, and scoping activities.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage the data engineering lifecycle including research, architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with teams to design analytics technology that meets client objectives.
• Build POC solutions for a modern analytics stack across cloud platforms for potential clients.
• Work with ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Fivetran, Snowflake OpenFlow, NiFi).
• Utilize BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Omni, Looker) for analytics delivery.
• Engage with cloud data repositories (Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.
• Mentor and develop junior team members; manage client relationships on projects.
• Contribute to solution proposals, pre-sales activities, estimation, and scoping.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Data Solutions Architect

We are looking for a Data Solutions Architect to join our Data Solutions team!

As a Data Solutions Architect, you’ll be responsible for pre-sales, estimation, scoping, designing, implementing, and testing proposed modern analytic solutions. Working closely with our client partners, you’ll develop relationships with key technical resources while delivering tangible business outcomes.

Ideal candidates will be able to:

• Manage the Data engineering lifecycle including research, proof of concepts, architecture, design, development, test, deployment, and maintenance
• Ability to collaborate with team members to design and implement technology that aligns with client business objectives
• Ability to build proof of concepts for a modern analytics stack supporting a variety of Cloud-based Business Systems for potential clients
• Experience working with ETL/ELT technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Fivetran, Snowflake OpenFlow, Apache NiFi and other similar ETL/ELT tools
• Experience working with analytic technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, Sigma, Omni, Looker and other similar analytic tools
• Experience working with cloud enabled data repositories such as Snowflake, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.
• Team management experience and ability to manage, mentor and develop talent of assigned junior resources
• Ability to create actionable recommendations based on identified platform, structural and/or logic problems
• Ability to communicate and demonstrate a clear understanding of client business needs, goals, and objectives
• Ability to collaborate with other practices on Solution Proposals, Pre-Sales Activities, Estimation, Scoping and Solutions
• Ability to travel

Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience developing industry -leading business intelligence and analytic solutions
• 5+ years of experience writing Business requirements, Use cases and/or user stories, preferably for data warehouse or data mart initiatives
• 5+ years of SQL development including advanced analytic functions
• 3+ years of consulting experience working on project-based delivery using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• 4+ years of experience with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and Azure Synapse Analytics, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience creating functional test cases and supporting user acceptance testing
• 3+ years of experience in Agile/Kanban/DevOps Delivery
• Outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage projects and teams against planned work
• Responsible for managing the day-to-day client relationship on projects
• Ability to support sales cycles by leading orals sessions along with building POC solutions for clients
• Ability to travel

Preferred Skills:

• SnowPro certification
• 5+ years experience developing in Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP or similar cloud data platform
• 3+ years of experience with modern tech stack tools such as Jenkins, Kafka, Messaging, Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, statistics, data science and data infrastructure ecosystems
