Job summary

Geotab in Toronto is seeking a Data Scientist to design and build data mining and model-building processes from vast data. You will work with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven customer-facing products.

You’ll apply ML packages (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow) and develop predictive models and dashboards to support business decisions. A analytical, entrepreneurial mindset and strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.
• Post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and C++ with OO programming.
• Experience with Big Data tools and ML techniques (e.g. Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau) and data frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Analyze trends to improve decision-making for customer-facing products.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Develop metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards to drive decisions.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models and ML features.
