Job summary

Groupe Dynamite Inc. in Montréal is seeking a data/ML engineer to design, build, and deploy data models and large-scale pipelines in production.

You will collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to tackle business challenges using structured and unstructured data in a distributed cloud environment. The role requires 2+ years in Python/PySpark, data pipeline design, and ML/analytics experience, with AWS/GCP cloud exposure and a passion for scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• 2+ years in Python/PySpark and other programming languages.
• Hands on experience with RDBMS and NoSQL technologies.
• Ability to write efficient queries with large-scale data.
• Experience in designing data pipelines using distributed computing environments.
• Experience in Data Science and Analytics including stats, modeling and evaluation.
• Experience in ML projects and MLOps.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (Lambda, Glue) in AWS and cloud functions in GCP.

In this role you will be part of a self managed team responsible for building and driving forward our core demand forecasting, recommendation engines and GenAI solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

• Architect, implement and deploy new data models and large scale data pipelines in production


• Work with data scientists and software engineers to address business challenges by harnessing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data in a distributed and cloud processing environment.


• Write highly optimized software code to advance the Dynamite Group Cloud Solutions capabilities.


• Implement solutions using cloud technology such as AWS, GCP and Snowflake

Qualifications:

• A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.


• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.


• 2+ years in Python/Pyspark and other programming languages.


• Hands on experience with RDBMS and NoSQL technologies


• Ability to write efficient queries working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.


• Experience in designing and building data pipelines using distributed computing environments.


• Experience in Data Science and Data Analytics including statistical analysis, predictive modeling and model evaluation.


• Experience in ML projects and MLOps.


• Well-versed in modern cloud technologies such as Lambda functions and Glue Jobs in AWS and cloud functions in GCP.


• Must have strong analytical, problem solving skills, attention to detail, critical thinking ability, and creativity.


• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
