Salary Range (plus eligible to receive a performance based incentive, applicable to position) $92,310 - $124,890

Apply your technical expertise to research and develop environmental sustainability metrics for FCC using your understanding of predictive models and platforms. As a collaborative data scientist with a willingness to learn, you’ll work with a great team of specialists to innovate and develop new sustainability measures for agricultural finance.

What You’ll Do
  • Examine methodologies to enhance climate resilience, promote nature-positive activities and reduce emissions
  • Use advanced analytics techniques to unlock insights from agri-environmental and economic data using geospatial tools and modelling programs such as AWS SageMaker
  • Choose appropriate ways to tell the story through words, visualizations and interpretation

What You’ll Need
  • A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, finance, business, economics, mathematics, statistics or computer science and at least four years of experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • High proficiency in geospatial and analytics tools including, but not limited to, AWS environment, R and Python
  • Knowledge of the Canadian agriculture and food industry is an asset
