Analytics Engineer – Cooke Aquaculture Inc.

Cooke Aquaculture Inc. is a global seafood company operating across North America, Europe, South America, and Australia. We are seeking a skilled Analytics Engineer to design data solutions that drive business decisions and operational efficiency. This role collaborates across IT, business operations, and senior leadership to transform raw data into actionable insights using SSRS, Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI.
  • Build and optimize Snowflake data models to ensure scalability and high performance.
  • Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using dbt, ensuring accurate and efficient data transformation.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure data accuracy, and deliver analytical insights that drive decision‑making.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in data governance, SDLC processes, and analytics workflows.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence in data engineering.
  • Diagnose and resolve data‑related issues, ensuring smooth and reliable data operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analytics and engineering with hands‑on expertise in SSRS, Power BI, Snowflake, and dbt.
  • Proven ability to design and implement large‑scale data solutions and optimize complex data models using Star Schema and OBT techniques.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality standards, and enforcing processes in data operations.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent work streams with competing deadlines and prioritizing high‑impact work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Track record of delivering measurable business improvements through data‑driven solutions.
