CARFAX, part of S&P Global Mobility, is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Ontario team. Analyze large datasets to uncover demand insights and calibrate vehicle valuations across CARFAX products.

Lead end-to-end A/B testing and partner with product teams on inventory analytics to drive value for dealers and consumers. This hybrid role requires 7+ years in data analysis, proficiency in Python/R, advanced SQL, and strong communication to translate findings into actionable recommendations for

Qualifications

• Over 7+ years of experience in advanced data analysis with 3+ years in statistical modeling and forecasting.
• Proficiency with R and/or Python, and experience querying large databases using advanced SQL skills.
• Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus; Master's degree strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do

• Analyze large-scale datasets to uncover actionable supply and demand insights that drive value for dealers and consumers across CARFAX products.


• Calibrate and monitor used car valuation models.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in advanced data analysis, with 3+ years of statistical modeling and forecasting.


• Experience with statistical modeling and analyses such as regression, cluster analysis, and impact testing.


• Proficiency with R and/or Python, and experience querying large databases using advanced SQL skills.


• Bachelor's degree with a quantitative focus; Master's degree strongly preferred.


• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks across multiple projects, and contribute new ideas and initiatives, with superior communication skills to share findings and prescribe action to stakeholders using Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying and maintaining statistical models in production.


• Experience with NLP and/or deep learning applications.


• Exposure to vehicle data, including options, features, pricing, etc.

This is a hybrid role with in-office expectations determined by location and subject to change based on evolving business needs.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire. The company is unable to provide immigration or work permit support for this position.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $78,000 - $116,000 CAD. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.

Mobility Global is committed to providing competitive compensation that reflects local market conditions and individual contributions. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for incentive compensation, long-term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package, where applicable.
