Eurofins Cosmetics & Personal Care, Inc. is seeking a Data Reviewer Microbiology to join our quality team in Canada. The role focuses on review of raw data, validation studies, logbooks, calibration reports, and QA review under strict timelines.

Must have at least 5 years in microbiology, strong data interpretation, ability to follow SOPs, and familiarity with Health Canada guidelines, GMP and GLP. B.Sc in Microbiology preferred; M.Sc is an asset. Full-time, CAD 48,000 per year.

The Data Reviewer Microbiology is responsible for review and determination of the status of quality documents. They will also perform QA review and improvement of the existing workbook templates. This is a deadline-based, high-pressure work environment with on-going projects for a variety of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and determine the status of quality documents, such as raw laboratory data, validation studies, logbooks, and calibration reports.
• Initiate and conduct deviations and out-of-specification investigations.
• Initiate and conduct Corrective Action and Preventative Action (CAPA) investigations.
• Performs QA review
• Draft and approve PET reports, EM reports
• Perform equipment maintenance and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures at all times
• Minimum 5 years working in microbiology-related industries;
• Be a capable instrument or equipment operator;
• Be experienced on a number of wide variety routine and some non-routine microbiology techniques, methods and procedures;
• Be experienced on data review;
• Be proficient at data retrieval and interpretation of routine analysis or tests;
• Have basic troubleshooting skills, both with instruments and methods;
• Be able to write lab reports;
• Be able to work under Health Canada guidelines; familiarity with USP, GMP and GLP

Other Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Experience working in a contract laboratory considered an asset;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• A good command of English is necessary;
• Must be able to handle a variety of samples;
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work independently, while supporting a collaborative, team-based department;
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure;
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;
• Must be proactive, self-disciplined, and able to demonstrate a high level of productivity;
• Demonstrate satisfactory work performance and attendance record;
• Display a high level of professionalism;
• Willingness to learn with the ability to retain information quickly and apply knowledge to various scenarios.

EDUCATION

• B.Sc. degree in Microbiology, M.Sc is an asset;
• A solid background and understanding of microbiology is mandatory;
• Computer proficiency - Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
