Job summary

Apexon in Toronto is seeking a Senior Backend Platform Engineer with strong Python development experience to build cloud-native applications, microservices, and REST APIs.

You will own features end-to-end, develop Snowflake-native applications using Snowpark, Stored Procedures, and Tasks, and design secure, versioned REST APIs with FastAPI. 10+ years of backend/platform engineering experience and collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams are expected.

• 10+ years of Backend Engineering experience
• REST APIs & OpenAPI/Swagger
• SQL (Snowflake & PostgreSQL)
• Snowflake (Snowpark, Stored Procedures, Tasks, Streams & Dynamic Tables)
• Strong ownership of end-to-end feature delivery

Nice to Have

• Payments or FinTech experience
• Backend Platform Engineering experience
