Job summary

A national IT consulting company is seeking an Integration Developer / Solution Engineer to design and deliver a secure, scalable, and user-friendly download solution. This role involves developing a replacement for the existing CSV download capability by consuming data virtualization service outputs and enabling CSV / Excel exports. This role involves developing a replacement for an existing CSV download capability by consuming data virtualization service outputs (JSON / XML) and enabling CSV / Excel exports. The developer will work remotely during Pacific Time business hours and contribute to the full lifecycle of design, development, testing, and deployment.

Responsibilities
  • Review existing CSV download functionality and its dependencies.
  • Design and develop a lightweight, secure front-end widget to initiate data downloads.
  • Build back-end transformation logic to convert JSON / XML into structured formats (CSV / Excel).
  • Ensure solutions align with accessibility, security, and performance standards.
  • Conduct testing and validation of data accuracy, field mapping, and formatting.
  • Package and deploy the solution into a modern web environment.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to client staff.
  • Participate in discovery sessions, regular check-ins, and demos.
Requirements
  • TIBCO Data Virtualization or similar data virtualization platform expertise (or strong REST / SOAP web services integration experience).
  • Back-end development experience (e.g., .NET, Python, Node.js, or Java) with REST API design.
  • Proven experience with JSON and XML handling, including transformation via code or XSLTs.
  • Front-end development skills (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) to build embeddable widgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver secure, accessible, and performant public-facing solutions.
  • Strong documentation, testing, and deployment experience.
  • Previous work on public sector or open data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance best practices.
  • Azure API Management or similar API gateway experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., API Development, Data Virtualization).
