Aviva Canada is seeking a Data Engineer to support our enterprise data modernization journey. You will design robust data pipelines and data solutions on Snowflake, dbt Core/Cloud, and AWS, collaborating with architects, QA engineers, and delivery teams.

You bring 6+ years of experience, strong SQL/Python, and a customer-centric mindset to deliver scalable, high-quality data products while guiding teammates in an agile environment. Hybrid work model available.

Formación

• 6+ years of professional experience delivering data projects
• 3+ years of Snowflake, dbt Core/Cloud, and AWS Cloud
• Strong SQL, Python, Shell and Terraform coding skills
• Deep knowledge of relational databases (Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Aurora) and big data platforms
• Experience communicating insights with stakeholders and building data products

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and implementation of high-performance data pipelines
• Write and maintain clean, reusable code in SQL, Python, Shell, and Terraform
• Champion data quality, governance, and cataloging practices
• Perform root cause analysis and implement data issue resolutions
• Lead agile ceremonies and ensure timely delivery of data initiatives
• Mentor Data Engineers and project team members
• Collaborate with architects, designers, QA, and delivery teams
• Produce and maintain technical documentation
