The Opportunity


Summary:

We are looking for a Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake to join our team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions. This role requires strong experience with ETL processes, and big data technologies to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.



What you will do?

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Build and optimize data models, ensuring high performance and scalability in Snowflake .
• Implement best practices for Snowflake data warehousing , including schema design, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, SQL, or Scala .
• Integrate data from various sources, including APIs, databases, and third-party tools.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
• Implement data security, compliance, and governance best practices.

What You’ll need?

3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake (warehouse design, performance tuning, and data ingestion).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and automation.
• Experience with ETL tools such as Apache Airflow, DBT, or Talend .
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and services like AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, and Redshift .
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop .
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices .
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with real-time data processing (Apache Flink, Spark Streaming, etc.).
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB).
• Exposure to CI/CD for data pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of machine learning pipelines and MLOps.
