Job summary

Tenstorrent is seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician, IT Contractor to support installation, relocation, cabling, and decommissioning of servers and network equipment at the downtown Toronto Beanfield data center.

This 6-month on-site role requires 2–5 years in data center operations, ability to follow documented procedures, coordinate with IT teams, and maintain accurate inventory; travel to Tenstorrent office locations as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years hands-on data center operations experience.
• Experience with servers, network gear, storage, racks and cabling.
• Able to follow documented procedures and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, relocate, decommission, and maintain servers, network equipment, storage systems, and other data center infrastructure.
• Rack and stack equipment; install, label, organize, dress, manage, and troubleshoot copper and fiber optic cabling.
• Support data center migrations, hardware deployments, and infrastructure changes while coordinating with IT, network, infrastructure, and data center teams.
• Maintain physical inventory, asset identification, equipment tracking, and installation documentation; perform basic hardware troubleshooting.
• Safely handle and move equipment while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
