Job summary

Arcadis in Toronto is seeking a Technology Systems Specialist to lead design of ICT, structured cabling, security, and AV for data centers. You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, engage clients, and advance projects from planning through construction support.

You will shape innovative solutions for mission-critical environments while coordinating across time zones and locations, leveraging BIM workflows and remote collaboration tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of technology systems design and installation experience in large scale projects.
• Experience with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centers.
• Background in mission critical facility design beyond cabling and low voltage.
• Experience with BIM coordination and model-based workflows.
• RCDD Certification, preferably with DCDC.
• Engineering/Architectural/Construction industry experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Comfort using remote task assignment software and agile teams.
• Ability to work across geographic locations and time zones.
• Experience with Visio/Bluebeam/CAD (AutoCAD/Revit).
• Familiar with Teams/Webex/Zoom and remote collaboration tools.
• Strong communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Energetic, diplomatic, flexible, problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead ICT and structured cabling design for data center projects.
• Develop design criteria, narratives, layouts, and docs for rooms and cabling.
• Review design drawings and direct engineering documentation.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and architectural teams.
• Attend and lead client and design team meetings.
• Develop budgetary implementation costs.
• Provide construction administration and site reviews.
• Support business development and client relations.
• Mentor junior team members.
