Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee data center construction projects in Alberta, Canada. The role covers startup, commissioning, and field modifications of Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers, working with engineering, factory operations, field service, and contractors.

This fixed-term position lasts 18-24 months, with travel up to 60% within the USA as required by business needs; primary sites in Alberta.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience coordinating schedules, deliverables, and activities involving multiple stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and/or customers.
• 2+ years reading and interpreting blueprints and technical mechanical systems documents.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time within the USA as required by business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead startup, commissioning, and field modification processes for Carrier air- and water-cooled chillers in data centers.
• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
• Track and review KPIs to monitor project success.
• Conduct progress meetings with stakeholders, addressing design, material delivery, and labor schedules.
• Ensure all projects meet or exceed booked profit margin goals.
• Work with project coordination to order and track chiller parts needed for warranty execution.
