Job summary

Amazon Data Services Canada, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Manager to lead a senior operations organization responsible for data center facility infrastructure and cross-functional teams across Canada.

You will drive safety, availability, and efficiency while managing Managers and Facility Managers, directing Infra Operations build-outs and ongoing maintenance in a fast-paced, globally connected environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 10+ years managing data center operations, facility engineering, critical environments, build-outs, or similar.
• 5+ years as a manager of managers.
• 5+ years delivering complex projects with proven track record.
• 5+ years owning mission-critical teams/products; autonomous management of geographically distributed infrastructure teams; fluent in French and English.

• Operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for Amazon data centers to include preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and change management.
• Vendor management of co-location data center services providers to meet or exceed contracted performance SLA’s.
• Safety, security, and availability incident response, incident management, and incident resolution.
• Continuous improvement of operational processes, procedures, methods, and tools.

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
