As a Data Architecture Advisor, you’ll play a key role in initiatives such as data integration architecture implementations, advanced analytics, data maturity assessments for artificial intelligence, and data warehouse implementations.

• Design robust, scalable and secure solutions for data management, storage and mining;
• Develop conceptual, logical and physical models tailored to business needs and technical constraints;
• Supervise or design integration flows (ETL/ELT), data pipelines and orchestration mechanisms;
• Participate in the implementation of data quality, security, cataloguing and traceability policies;
• Monitor technological developments and propose technologies suited to the organization’s ecosystem;
• Produce and maintain technical and functional documentation for data solutions;
• Provide technical support and coaching to developers, analysts or data engineering specialists, depending on the team structure;
• Ensure data governance and regulatory compliance by integrating legal requirements (e.g., Law 25, GDPR, ISO) and promoting transparency, quality and accountability.

Keys to your success

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field;
• Certification in a relevant technology (AWS, Azure, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.);
• 8 years of IT experience, including 2 to 3 large-scale projects delivered as a data architecture advisor;
• Experience in ETL/ELT, data virtualisation, architecture design, and the implementation of data lakes and data integration solutions;
• Experience with several technologies in the following categories:
  • Relational and NoSQL databases: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4j;
  • Orchestration and transformation tools: Talend, Informatica, Apache NiFi, dbt, Airflow;
  • Languages: SQL (essential), Python, Scala, Java;
  • Modelling tools: Erwin, PowerDesigner, dbt, Lucidchart, ArchiMate, Draw.io;
  • Data governance tools: Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, Informatica Axon.
• Proficiency in one of the following cloud environments:
  • Azure (Data Lake, Synapse, Data Factory [Fabric]);
  • AWS (Redshift, S3, Lake Formation, Databricks, SageMaker);
  • GCP (asset).
• Strong leadership, initiative, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Experience or interest in machine learning or data science.

Please note that due to the nature of the responsibilities of the position, a proficient level of English is required, in particular to communicate on a regular basis with employees and managers outside of Quebec.
