Senior Data Architect / Data Modeller

Position Overview

Seeking a Senior Data Architect / Data Modeller with 8+ years of experience analyzing business requirements, evaluating existing data structures, and designing logical and physical data models. The successful candidate will have strong SQL and RDBMS knowledge, expertise in data modelling tools, and the ability to collaborate with technical and business teams.

Work Arrangement

On-site, 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and existing applications, databases, and source data models.
• Design and develop logical and physical data models for target systems.
• Perform detailed data analysis, mapping, validation, and source-to-target transformation.
• Develop data architecture specifications aligned with enterprise standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, SMEs, Developers, Architects, and other stakeholders.
• Support development teams with data modelling specifications and technical documentation.
• Ensure data models meet business requirements, integration needs, and data management standards.

Mandatory Qualifications

Minimum Experience: 8+ years in data architecture, data modelling, or a related field.

• Business Requirements and Data Modelling: Demonstrated experience analyzing business needs and existing IT applications and designing target data models.
• Data Analysis and Design: Strong experience researching, analyzing source data, and developing effective data model designs.
• SQL and RDBMS: Excellent knowledge of relational databases and SQL for detailed data analysis and validation.
• Data Mapping: Experience developing source-to-target data mappings and validating data across systems.
• Data Modelling Tools: Expert-level experience using data modelling tools and creating logical and physical data models.
• Collaboration and Communication: Ability to translate business and technical requirements into clear data models and specifications, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently, research best practices, and align deliverables with enterprise data standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with environmental compliance, inspections, enforcement, or hazardous waste management systems.
• Experience with CASE tools and Python for data processing.
• Knowledge of information management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with Parquet, Delta Lake, Azure Data Lakehouse, star schema, and Snowflake.

Work Arrangement

Candidates must be available to work on-site five days per week.
