A leading pediatric healthcare organization in Ottawa is seeking a Data Analyst to support newborn screening programs. The candidate will perform data analysis, process data requests, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. A strong background in healthcare data analytics and experience with statistical programming is essential. This role offers a competitive salary within the range of $35.04-$43.00 per hour.

CHEO hosts several provincial programs including Newborn Screening Ontario (NSO). NSO oversees and coordinates dried blood spot screening for several rare diseases, pulse oximetry screening for critical congenital heart disease, hearing loss risk factor screening and parent-led biliary atresia screening across the province.
NSO, in partnership with the National Centre for Audiology, is now the Oversight Agency for the Ontario Infant Hearing Program (IHP). Newborn Screening Ontario is seeking a data analyst to support their new role in program oversight. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare data analytics and be familiar with statistical analysis methods, database programming, and data visualization tools.
Effective March 29, 2021, CHEO will conduct a more comprehensive pre-screening and evaluation process. This process may include more varied and multidimensional testing such as a written test, practical exam, or other assessment. All candidates who meet the essential and preferred qualifications may be tested.
Bilingualism will be validated by a language proficiency assessment conducted by a third party provider. Candidates will be required to meet the minimum linguistic profile prior to the date of hire.
