Job summary

Fidelity Canada is looking for a Data Analyst and Reporting Tools Developer to provide analysis and guidance to senior executives and business units. You will plan, design, and deploy new reporting database tools while enhancing existing reporting applications.

You will design and test BI solutions using SQL, VBA, Access and Excel, and leverage Power BI, Snowflake, Tableau, and other enterprise reporting tools. A 4+ year background in data analysis and finance or related fields is expected.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience with relational or multidimensional databases and SQL coding.
  • Experience performing complex business analysis, including data flow analysis and modeling.
  • Strong skills in VBA programming, Access and Excel.
  • University degree in computer science, finance or equivalent.
  • Experience in the financial services industry is an asset.
  • Experience with enterprise reporting apps (e.g., Business Objects, OBIEE, PowerBI, Snowflake, Tableau) is an asset.

The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.

The Data Analyst and Reporting Tools Developer provides analysis and guidance to the members of the Fidelity Senior Executive Team and the business units they manage.

Our team works very closely with these client groups and strives to provide value added analysis that helps advance the business of the groups we support.

The Data Analyst and Reporting Tools Developer reports to the Manager, Reporting and Analysis, is responsible for the planning, design, development, and deployment of new reporting database tools as well as the enhancement of existing reports and database reporting applications.

  • Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: Total annual cash compensation ( base salary plus target bonus ) ranges from $105,000 to $152,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
  • RRSP Contribution: After 6 months of employment, we invest in your future with an RRSP contribution - no employee matching required.
