This project underpins the organization’s global sanctions compliance strategy by building robust data pipelines and automation tools that feed into risk assessment models. The goal is to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient data processing for compliance reporting, enabling the business to meet stringent regulatory obligations and mitigate financial risk.

Role Overview

As a Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing data workflows that support sanctions risk assessments. You will extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources, automate processes using Python and SQL, and document procedures to maintain transparency and reproducibility. This position demands strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with risk and compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain automated data pipelines using Python and SQL.
  • Extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources for ingestion into risk assessment tools.
  • Document scripts and workflows to ensure compliance and audit readinessli>
  • Collaborate with analysts and compliance officers to align technical outputs with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct testing and validation of data processes to maintain accuracy and reliability.
Must-Haves
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Risk Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, automation, or technology roles.
  • Advanced Python programming skills (including Pandas) for automating data pipelines and risk tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL for ETL processes, including extracting, transforming, and loading data from multiple sources.
Nice to Haves
  • Familiarity with sanctions compliance, financial risk, or regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience with Dataiku and Tableau for data preparation and visualization.
  • Understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
  • Ability to manage project lifecycle from design to deployment and monitoring.
  • Experience creating and executing test cases and scripts based on business requirements.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables).
  • Strong documentation and analytical writing skills.
  • Proven stakeholder management and ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
