Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the transaction databases, ensuring records are complete and current.
  • Maintain and update Market Intelligence databases with accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with data collection, verification and updates for reports and publications.
  • Assist the team with updating charts, market presentations and related data.
  • Attend division meetings to review transactions and gather information.
  • Respond to data requests from brokers and analysts for pitches and valuations.
  • Collaborate with coordinators on specialized database projects and data quality initiatives.
  • Provide coverage for the team to ensure continuity of data maintenance activities.

Overview

We are hiring a Data Analyst, to support data administration on our Market Intelligence team in our Vancouver Office.Working as part of the Market Intelligence Team, this role will focus primarily on maintaining accurate, complete and current market databases, while contributing to data-intensive projects across the department. The successful candidate must possess strong data administration and organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of information accurately in a fast-paced team environment. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys detailed, computer-based work and is interested in learning more about commercial real estate and market fundamentals. Please note this title is for external use but the candidate will be hired under a Data Analyst title.

The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $55,000 to $65,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through a bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all Canadian locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the transaction databases, including researching missing information and contacting listing brokers and other stakeholders to ensure transaction records are complete and current.
  • Maintain and update other Market Intelligence databases together with the team, with a focus on accurate data entry, consistency and adherence to established data standards.
  • Assist with data collection, verification and updates for reports and other Market Intelligence publications as required.
  • Assist the team with updating charts, market presentations and related data as required.
  • Attend Division meetings to review recent transactions entered into the database and gather additional relevant information.
  • Respond to data and information requests from brokers and analysts, including compiling relevant property, transaction and market information for pitches and valuations.
  • Collaborate with the Industrial and Office Market Intelligence Coordinators on specialized database projects, data quality initiatives and larger projects as required.
  • Provide coverage for the team as needed, ensuring continuity of key database and data maintenance activities.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to data accuracy are required.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills; Comfortable communicating by phone or email with internal and external stakeholders to obtain, verify and clarify listing and transaction information.
  • Comfortable performing high-volume, detail-oriented computer work for extended periods of time.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and dependable, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively while consistently following established processes and data standards.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle preferred to accommodate occasional property visits and field-based data collection, as required.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and demonstrated comfort working with databases and large volumes of information.
  • A minimum of two years of commercial real estate experience preferred.
  • Proactive and responsive, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
