Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a data governance professional in Toronto to join our enterprise data program. You will support metadata management, data lineage, and data quality initiatives across cloud and on-premise platforms, collaborating with business and technology teams to ensure governance standards are met.

The role focuses on data classification, ownership, lifecycle management, and audit readiness, with hands-on use of Collibra and identity/access tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in enterprise data governance initiatives including metadata management, data lineage, and data quality.
• Maintain data policies, standards, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure regulatory and internal governance compliance.
• Support data classification, data ownership, and lifecycle management activities.
• Assist with audit requests and governance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise data governance initiatives, including metadata management, data lineage, and data quality.
• Maintain data policies, standards, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Partner with business and technology teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
• Support data classification, data ownership, and lifecycle management activities.
• Assist with audit requests and governance reporting.
• Support data access governance processes to ensure appropriate access to sensitive information.
• Understand user access lifecycle processes, including provisioning, modification, and de-provisioning.
• Apply access governance principles, including RBAC, ABAC, least-privilege, and segregation of duties.
• Participate in access reviews and certification activities.
• Support privileged access management (PIM) and identity correlation initiatives where applicable.
• Monitor and improve overall data posture management.
• Support data loss prevention (DLP) and sensitive data protection initiatives.
• Analyze data access findings and collaborate with stakeholders to drive remediation activities.
• Contribute to governance and compliance processes across cloud and enterprise data platforms.
