Data Access Governance Lead

Job summary

HCLTech is seeking a data governance professional with strong experience in metadata management, data quality, and enterprise data platforms to join our team in Toronto. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure compliant data practices across cloud and on-premises environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Collibra, Azure, and access governance, and will support governance reporting, audits, and lifecycle management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in enterprise data governance including metadata management and data quality.
• Ability to implement governance frameworks and policies across cloud and on-premise data platforms.
• Experience with RBAC/ABAC and access reviews.
• Strong collaboration with business and IT teams to ensure regulatory and internal governance compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise data governance initiatives, including metadata management, data lineage, and data quality.
• Maintain data policies, standards, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements.
• Support data classification, data ownership, and lifecycle management activities.
• Assist with audit requests and governance reporting.
• Support data access governance processes to ensure appropriate access to sensitive information.
• Understand user access lifecycle processes, including provisioning, modification, and de-provisioning.
• Apply access governance principles, including RBAC, ABAC, least-privilege, and segregation of duties.
• Participate in access reviews and certification activities.
• Support privileged access management (PIM) and identity correlation initiatives where applicable.
• Monitor and improve overall data posture management.
• Support data loss prevention (DLP) and sensitive data protection initiatives.
• Analyze data access findings and collaborate with stakeholders to drive remediation activities.
• Contribute to governance and compliance processes across cloud and enterprise data platforms.
