Job summary

A telecommunications company in Alberta is seeking DAS Technicians responsible for installing and testing DAS systems in various industrial and commercial buildings. Candidates should have practical abilities, a valid driver's license, and at least 1 year of experience in the related field. Safety training certification is preferred, and a positive team attitude is essential.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
  • Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Experience required: 1 year for level 1, 3 years for level 2, 5 years for level 3.

Responsibilities

  • Install cables, antennas, and splitters as per customer requirements.
  • Test installed components and overall performance of the site.
  • Remove cables, antennas, and splitters as needed.

Skills

Practical ability and common sense

Job description

Wesbell is accepting resumes for DAS Technicians to join our team. This position is responsible for installing and testing DAS systems in various industrial and commercial buildings.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities Include:
  • Installation of cables, antennas and splitters as per customer requirements
  • Removal of cables, antennas and splitters
  • Perform testing of installed components and overall performance of the site (Level 3).
  • Any other duties that may be assigned
Education (Theoretical Training):
  • High School, GED, vocational or technical training preferred
  • First Aid / CPR Training
  • Ladder Safety Training
  • Proper Lifting Techniques Training
  • WHMIS Training
Job Requirements & Experience:
  • Practical ability and common sense
  • Must be willing to travel and work weekends, nights if required by customer
  • Manual dexterity is required and mechanical aptitude an asset
  • A minimum of 1 year for level 1, 3 years for level 2 and 5 years for level 3 in the related field
  • Have a basic understanding of electricity and electrical safety
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a clean drivers abstract
  • May require use of personal vehicle
  • General housekeeping is a must
  • Must be a team player and possess a positive and professional attitude towards work and others
  • Fluent in English written and oral
