A local cultural organization in North Vancouver seeks enthusiastic Dance Instructors to teach a variety of dance forms, including ballet and hip hop, to children and adults. Ideal candidates will have teaching experience and the ability to create a positive, safe learning environment. This casual position pays between $27.04 - $37.44 per hour, plus vacation pay. Flexible availability for daytime, evening, and weekend classes is required.

You will be an integral part of our dedicated staff team who continually strive to make a difference in the recreation and cultural lives of North Vancouver residents. We are currently looking for Dance Instructors to lead programs for adults, youth and children in a variety of dance forms.
If you have experience teaching and practicing any of the following: ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, ballroom, contemporary, preschool creative dance or you would like to propose another dance form, please connect with us through this application process. You are a team player committed to community. You will plan and instruct developmentally appropriate dance classes, and prepare your own music and choreography. Classes will include warm up, skill development and dance routines. You will be working in a creative environment utilizing your leadership and people skills while maintaining a safe environment to engage students to expand their interest in dance. You are an excellent communicator with a positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Candidates must have experience in their chosen dance form and 1 year teaching experience. All instructors working with children must have a current Emergency First Aid certificate and HIGH FIVE : Principles of Healthy Child Development training (available online through BCRPA).
All candidates are required to submit a Police Information Check as a condition of employment.
