Job summary

RBC Insurance is seeking a bilingual Licensed Insurance Advisor for Home & Auto in Montréal, Canada. You will provide insurance advice and options to clients via inbound calls, ensuring a high-quality, empathetic customer experience while meeting individual and team sales goals.

You will complete personalized needs assessments, work with regulatory requirements, and collaborate with RBC partners to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions.

Qualifications

  • Quebec Damage Insurance certificate delivered by l’Autorité des marchés financiers or willingness/ability to obtain it and the General Insurance License for Ontario/other provinces (training offered by RBC).
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required for English/French speaking client needs.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with ability to build strong relationships.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts within operation hours (Home & Auto Advice Centre open 8:00am–8:30pm).
  • Digital literacy across devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops).

Responsibilities

What is the opportunity?

As an RBC bilingual Licensed Insurance Advisor for Home & Auto, you’ll be the trusted voice on the other end of the phone providing insurance advice and options to help clients protect what’s important to them. You’re empathetic, helpful friendly and provide clear, upfront insurance advice for clients. With every conversation, you’re curious, caring and detail-oriented, with a focus on problem and delivering an exceptional client experience. You will contribute to individual and team sales goals by proactively recommending personal home and auto insurance solutions to new and existing clients, as well as referring them to your partners within the organization.



What will you do?


  • Provide insurance advice and solutions to clients based on their needs through inbound calls

  • Exhibit a consistent, positive client experience with every conversation and resolve client concerns at first point of contact, demonstrating relationship building through meaningful discussions

  • Complete personalized needs assessments and reviews by leveraging tools, resources, and calculators to demonstrate value and support advice recommendations

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of regulatory risk when underwriting and updating home & auto insurance policies

  • Use procedures effectively and seamlessly during conversations with clients

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with partners to work as one RBC team



What do you need to succeed?


Must-have


  • Possession of the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate delivered by l’Autorité des marchés financiers or the willingness and ability to successfully obtain the Quebec Damage Insurance certificate delivered by l’Autorité des marchés financiers and the General Insurance License for Ontario Other Than Life and other provinces (training offered by RBC to get the certifications).

  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly serve our clients with English and French speaking needs.

  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships and connect with clients

  • Flexibility to work all shifts within the hours of operation. The Home & Auto Advice Centre is open Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 8:30pm

  • Digital literacy across a broad range of services (i.e. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.)

  • Post-secondary education

  • Knowledge of insurance products

  • Customer service and/or sales experience in a contact centre environment.
