Position Summary

Working as a Dairy/Frozen Associate at Walmart Canada is a great opportunity to build valuable skills in a fast paced retail environment. As part of the team, you help ensure fresh products are available and the department is always customer ready. What You’ll Do

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards Keeps the Dairy/Frozen department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Stock Rotation and Product Quality Rotates merchandise regularly and checks for expired products to maintain freshness and quality standards.
• Pricing, Signing, and Inventory Accuracy Ensures merchandise is accurately signed and priced. Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling.
• Cold Chain, Food Safety, and Sanitation Adheres to cold chain and food safety standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, expiration dates, and sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Merchandising and Feature Maintenance Maintains department features to support merchandising standards and promotional execution.
• Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance Maintains a neat, clean, and hazard-free work area by removing debris, spills, and unnecessary items, and by following all Company policies and Health and Safety guidelines.

Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule)

• Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• High Task Volume in a Fast-Paced Environment Manages overnight hours effectively and planning accordingly to stay energized and focused. Effectively manages work hours and plans ahead to maintain energy and focus throughout the shift. Handles a fast-paced workload with efficiency, ensuring large volumes of restocking and recovery are completed accurately and on time.

Physical Demands

• Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
