Job summary

Wal-Mart Canada Corp in Fort Saskatchewan is seeking a Dairy/Frozen Associate to deliver friendly customer service while keeping the Dairy/Frozen area clean, organized, and properly zoned for customers.

You will assist with stocking, rotate merchandise, ensure accurate pricing and labeling, and follow cold chain and food-safety standards to maintain freshness and quality in a fast-paced store environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Department Organization and Standards: Keeps the Dairy/Frozen department clean, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
• Stock Rotation and Product Quality: Rotates merchandise regularly and checks for expired products to maintain freshness and quality standards.
• Pricing, Signing, and Inventory Accuracy: Ensures merchandise is accurately signed and priced.
• Cold Chain, Food Safety, and Sanitation: Adheres to cold chain and food safety standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, expiration dates, and sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Merchandising and Feature Maintenance: Maintains department features to support merchandising standards and promotional execution.
• Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance: Maintains a neat, clean, and hazard-free work area by removing debris, spills, and unnecessary items, and by following all Company policies and Health and Safety guidelines.

What you'll do

Follows established procedures for ordering, clearance, markups and markdowns, signing, flagging, pricing, and labeling. Cold Chain, Food Safety, and Sanitation Adheres to cold chain and food safety standards, including temperature checks, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, expiration dates, and sanitation and cleaning procedures. Merchandising and Feature Maintenance Maintains department features to support merchandising standards and promotional execution. Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance Maintains a neat, clean, and hazard-free work area by removing debris, spills, and unnecessary items, and by following all Company policies and Health and Safety guidelines.

• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.
