Students are either in-company or self-funded who need to learn a language at their office or their home for work, family or travel reasons. Course details

One of our clients in Toronto would like to have one-to-one GENERAL Czech classes. This student would like to have classes at her home in Toronto, M4L 1J4. She would like to have a 34.5-hour course. Classes of two hours should be held once per week, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., or weekends: Sunday evenings (4:30 to 6:30 p.m. only). She wishes to start asap.

Student information

• Estimated Current Language Level: Beginner
• Native language: English
• Motivation: Citizenship of the Czech Republic/EU (grandparents born there in the 1920s); aims to reach B1; no prior Czech language background; fluent in French; intermediate Spanish; basic exposure to German, Mandarin, Russian and Ancient Greek
• Student's age group: 45–55
• Learning history: Has not tried to learn the language before
• What the student wants to focus on: Listening, speaking and reading; writing also at times

Requirements for the ideal teacher

• Native Czech speaker OR hold a teaching degree
• Experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
• Have a valid working visa
• Live within 20 miles of the client’s location

Location, schedule and compensation

Location and schedule could be flexible based on availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part-time position, and we are not able to sponsor your visa.
