Job summary

EY in Canada is seeking a Cloud Security Manager to lead cloud security client engagements and internal projects. You’ll apply Azure, AWS, and GCP knowledge to design and deliver measurable security programs while building relationships with clients.

You’ll work within EY’s Consulting practice, contribute to cloud security assessments, and help expand EY’s footprint in the Canadian market while mentoring staff and managing risk.

Qualifications

We are actively seeking a Cloud Security Manager to join our Cybersecurity team. You’ll work alongside respected industry professionals, learning about and applying leading practices to better manage cybersecurity people, process and technology capabilities. You’ll gain insights into the design and operations of cybersecurity programs and strategies in a variety of industries and learn how to design measurable, sustainable programs to keep up with the ever-changing cybersecurity landscape.

This position falls within our Consulting team, which helps our clients enhance the effectiveness of operations functions by assisting them as they shift their emphasis from transaction‑level control, processing and reporting to more value‑driven, decision support and analytics.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Cloud Security Manager, you'll lead and contribute technically to cybersecurity client engagements and internal projects. Your knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Secueity Products will help you to support delivery and execution of the services that EY’s Cyber Practice provides. Knowledged of AWS and GCP is also an asset. An important part of your role will be to actively establish internal and external relationships, executing on cloud security assessments, and supporting cloud implementations. You'll also identify potential business opportunities for EY within existing engagements, and elevate these as appropriate. Similarly, you'll anticipate and identify risks within engagements and raise any issues with senior members of the team.

Client Responsibilities
  • Help the firm identify and experience in developing business within the Canadian market
  • Consistently deliver quality client services. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to our client’s.
  • Establish relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge.
  • Possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry trends to identify engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations.
People Responsibilities
  • Contribute to people‑related initiatives, including development, coaching, recruiting, training and retaining staff
  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills of staff
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
To qualify for the role you must have:
  • Undergraduate or masters’ degree preferably in one of the following areas: Information Security, Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, and/or other related majors
  • Approximately 5-7 years of experience in securing cloud solutions (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS)
  • Experience building and migrating applications in the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)Good understanding of cloud security architecture, security assessments, audit standards for the Cloud, security threats in the cloud
  • Experience in working independently or as part of a large team to deliver cloud security services on its own or within large complex projects
  • In possession of or working toward industry recognized cloud security certifications such as CCSK, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solution Architect Expert, AWS Solution Architect Associate/Professional
  • Familiarity with GDPR, PCI, SOX 404 and/or OSFI compliance
  • Scripting experience using either Shell, Perl, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, AWS-CLI, Azure-CLI, GCP CLI, etc.
  • Hands on technical experience with Microsoft Sentinel and the Microsoft Defender Suite (Endpoint, Cloud, CloudApps)
  • A solid understanding of Zero Trust including practical application of Zero Trust methodologies and technologies
  • Cloud Security Networking including IP Networking, WAF, Firewalls
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Bilingualism (fluency in both English and French)
Must have:
  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience with other key components of cybersecurity such as network & infrastructure security, access and identity management, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, security governance, risk and compliance, security architecture, data protection and others.

EY reports salary ranges in accordance with applicable provincial pay transparency legislation. Individual salaries within the anticipated salary ranges noted below are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skill sets.

  • Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Montreal salary range: $115,000-171,000k/year
