Role: Cyber Security Consultant

Location: Regina,Sk Canada

Job description
  • Demonstrated experience with cybersecurity strategic planning and risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience with solutions architecture, cybersecurity architecture, and IT design.
  • Demonstrated experience providing cybersecurity strategic advice, including risk management, governance, feasibility studies, cost–benefit analysis, and technology assessments.
  • Experience acting as an architect with the following characteristics:
  • Served as the lead architect or owner of a major subsystem or solution area.
  • Delivered all engagements using a formal IT methodology and within a recognized information security control framework.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing cybersecurity architecture across complex, distributed environments.
  • Demonstrated experience working with industry-standard information security frameworks such as ISO 27002:2022, NIST, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps operations and automation supporting enterprise product and service development and deployment.
  • Architecture-related certifications such as TOGAF, SABSA, or other industry-recognized credentials are considered an asset.
  • The role requires the ability to bridge technical and executive perspectives, clearly articulate cybersecurity risks, and collaborate across public-sector stakeholders to shape a centralized cybersecurity vision.
  • Provide interpretation and enforcement of information security policies and standards.
  • Deliver information security education and awareness across the organization.
  • Respond to and manage information security incidents.
  • Conduct Threat Risk Assessments (TRAs) for IT-related business initiatives.
  • Provide security assessments and oversight for IT solution and services procurements.
  • Offer information security advice and guidance to business areas.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and respond to emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
