Who we’re looking for:

Rogers is seeking a Cybersecurity Advisor to support its Commercial Security and M&A Cybersecurity Integrations program. Based at the Rogers Brampton Campus and reporting to a Senior Manager, this role is responsible for coordinating and supporting the integration of cybersecurity processes and infrastructure during mergers and acquisitions. In addition to M&A activities, the Advisor will assist with cybersecurity risk assessments for business‑led projects and conduct vendor security assessments and reviews to ensure alignment with corporate standards. The role involves close collaboration with IT, legal, compliance, and leadership teams to safeguard company assets and data across all initiatives.

What you’ll do:
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments for mergers and acquisitions, business projects, and vendor engagements, helping identify potential cybersecurity risks.
  • Support the evaluation of cybersecurity practices and maturity of acquired or merging entities, under guidance from senior team members.
  • Participate in vendor security assessments and reviews, helping ensure third‑party providers meet basic cybersecurity requirements.
  • Help monitor and report on cybersecurity risks across M&A activities and business initiatives, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Contribute to ensuring compliance with internal cybersecurity policies and external regulatory requirements across projects and vendors.
  • Assist in aligning cybersecurity procedures between merging organizations and support documentation updates.
  • Communicate findings and updates clearly to team members and stakeholders, with support from senior staff.
  • Track and follow up on remediation efforts for issues identified during due diligence, vendor reviews, and project assessments.
What you bring:
  • 2+ years of experience is required
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or emphasis in technology or related field
  • Experience with information security and/or IT audit
  • Experience interpreting industry and regulatory requirements and authoring supporting controls
  • Experience conducting information security assessments based on industry frameworks, including NIST, ISO 27001,
  • Experience with Security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CCM, and CIS Controls
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience in managing cybersecurity aspects of mergers and acquisitions
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
