Job summary

Kiewit is currently seeking an experienced CWB Welders for the Path2Zero project, located in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. The position requires a Journeyman Welder ticket and CWB SMAW certification, with safety tickets and 5+ years of industrial construction experience.

Compensation includes a base wage of $52.00 per hour, a $1.65 per hour ITC premium, and vacation/holiday pay. Shifts run Monday–Thursday (10 hours) and Friday (8 hours); overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Welder Ticket required.
• CWB SMAW All positions required.
• Safety tickets: Fall Protection, MEWP, Confined Space Entry and Monitor.
• Experience fitting Structural Steel and/or Pipe.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial construction.

Requirements

• Valid Journeyman (JM) Welder Ticket
• Valid CWB SMAW All positions
• Safety tickets:
• Fall Protection
• MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform)
• Confined Space Entry and Monitor
• Experience fitting Structural Steel and / or fitting Pipe
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial construction

Compensation and Shift Details

• Base wage: $52.00 per hour as per CLAC Collective Agreement
• ITC Premium: $1.65 per hour on base hours (40 hours per week)
• Vacation pay: 6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
• Statutory holiday pay: 3.6% on base hours (40 hours per week)
• Shifts run Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day; Friday, 8 hours
• Overtime and weekend work may be required

Additional Information

• Candidates offered a position must successfully complete SureHire Drug, Alcohol, a half mask fit and 50lb Fitness to Work tests
