Job summary

A Canadian construction company is seeking skilled CWB Journeyman Welders for its fabrication shop in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Shifts are available for both day and night. Responsibilities include performing high-quality welding using FCAW and MCAW processes and ensuring that all welds meet industry standards. This position offers competitive wages, vacation and holiday pay, and benefits after 90 days of employment. Eligible candidates must have a valid CWB qualification and be willing to comply with safety requirements.

Qualifications

The Role

We are currently seeking skilled CWB Journeyman Welders for our fabrication shop in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. Day and Night Shifts available.

Please note: This role is strictly for By-hand CWB Welders.

Compensation/Benefits
  • Competitive wage with excellent hourly compensation
  • Overtime after 8 hours per day.
  • 6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
  • Perform high-quality welding using FCAW and MCAW processes to CWB standards
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints and welding procedures
  • Weld structural components and materials according to project specifications
  • Ensure all welds meet or exceed CWB and internal quality requirements
  • Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe working environment
Experience/Education/Qualifications
  • Registered Journeyman Welder
  • Valid CWB qualifications
  • Current FCAW and MCAW tickets
  • Previous experience in fabrication shop and/or field work
  • CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (including WHMIS 2015)
  • May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test for certain sites
  • Must have or be willing to obtain necessary site-specific safety tickets and orientations
  • Class 5 driver’s license with reliable transportation
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
