A leading Canadian manufacturer seeks a candidate for a full-time role focused on managing inbound and outbound freight logistics across US and Canada. Responsibilities include ensuring customs compliance, coordinating with freight forwarders, and developing KPIs. Ideal candidates should have a college degree in Business Supply Chain or Logistics, with strong skills in negotiation and customer service. Proficiency in MS Office is required, along with experience in logistics, especially with customs.

Responsible for inbound and outbound freight for manufacturing (US and Canada) and branch locations (US specific).
Provide coding for Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification system.
Ensure customs compliance for international freight.
Work directly with freight forwarders to ensure best route and cost option.
Lead domestic standard and hot shot freight options (US specific).
Reduce overall spending for logistics group and work with Import forwarders to ensure best routing of inbound and outbound freight.
Approval of freight crating and broker invoices for processing.
Provide tracking for Ocean Air and Truck freight and communicating that status of these shipments internally as required.
Support the set up and maintenance of formal contracts for courier truck air and ocean providers for incoming and outgoing freight.
Review of customs entries to ensure accuracy and submission of amendment requests as required.
Maintain electronic filing system for customs entries and amendments (B3 & B2) (Canada Specific).
Working knowledge of 6A and 6D Wellhead Gate Valve Check Valve and Chokes would be considered an asset
Working Knowledge of HTS classification system
Understanding of manufacturing environment
The ability to work effectively individually or in a team environment
