Job summary

Circle K Stores Inc. is seeking a customer-focused retailer in Nova Scotia. The role involves greeting customers, operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store presentation. You will also handle merchandising tasks, pricing signage, and assist with inventory and shift reporting.

The position requires basic math ability, reliable scheduling, and strong communication. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior retail experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in retail sales preferred.
• Ability to work with the equipment, tools and materials listed above.
• Ability to work as scheduled including arriving to work on time.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
• Ability to perform the four (4) basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply and divide) preferred.
• Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described below.
• Ability to work in the conditions described below.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and greet customers as they enter.
• Rings up sales on the cash register, handling money, checks, and other payments.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including basic housekeeping and equipment upkeep.
• Complete build-to’s, receive deliveries, rotate stock, and place signage as needed.
• Monitor inventory, cash handling, and shift reports; report discrepancies to the Store Manager.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Store Assistant Manager and coach new employees.
