Westbank Animal Care Hospital is looking to add a Veterinary Assistant to our team.

Located in the heart of Westbank BC, we are a fast‑paced veterinary hospital. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional client and patient care, while also focusing on maintaining a welcoming, professional workplace where our team can thrive.

This position involves supporting our team in various aspects of the hospital including:
  • -Ensuring the hospital is clean and well stocked.
  • -Patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered technician or Veterinarian
  • Assisting the doctors and registered technicians with surgery prep and patient restraint as necessary
Assisting In Reception As Necessary Including
  • -Greeting clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
  • Answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing the front desk
  • Assisting with billing and processing payments
  • Maintaining accurate records and files
  • Coordinating communication between clients, veterinarians, and staff
  • Keeping the reception area clean and organized
The Successful Applicant Will Have
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred but not required
  • Must be available for some evening and Saturday shifts
