CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE
POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor, we are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative and Administrative Support. This dual-role position is essential in ensuring an exceptional customer experience while also supporting the operation of our production team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where multitasking and adaptability are key. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED

General supervision

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and maintain production-related documents, reports, and spreadsheets
  • Assist the production team with order tracking, scheduling, and status updates
  • Process orders and change orders received from customers and Sales Representatives, set up sales order, payers, and essential data in SAP for initial order.
  • Take phone orders in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Perform dispatch duties.
  • Provide marketing support for samples, catalogs and information requests.
  • Maintain marketing inventory
  • Works with Outside Sales Teams to coordinate customer requests and to help provide superior customer service.
  • Participate in semi-annual inventory counts.
  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.
  • Abide by all safety rules set forth by the company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensure that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.
  • Regular attendance is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Two years’ customer service experience preferred, experience in the concrete block, pavers and/or sack industry are preferred. Marketing skills an asset.
  • Must have strong computer skills, especially in Excel, Word and Outlook. SAP experience an asset.
  • Strong aptitude for organizing personal tasks and repetitive duties in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have strong communication, teamwork, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to consistently delivering the highest quality customer service.
  • Working knowledge of office environment with experience using multi-line phone system, personal computer, printer, calculator, copier, and facsimile machine. Some other equipment may be required to perform duties.
  • Requires good reading, writing and mathematical skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Standing, walking, sitting, talking/listening, reaching with hands and arms
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Office environment with moderate noise.
  • Indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
  • Wear mandatory and/or other appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when walking the plant, when necessary.
