If you thrive on a dynamic blend of physical work, driving, exemplary customer service, and sales, then this role is tailor‑made for you! Canadian Linen seeks a driven Customer Service Representative to take charge of delivering exceptional service and managing accounts for our valued clients.

What you’ll do:

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll embark on a multifaceted journey involving physical work, driving, delivery, and a seamless blend of customer service and sales.

Delivery Route Operations and Safety Procedures

  • Navigate assigned delivery routes, ensuring timely and safe deliveries within an established customer base.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of company delivery vehicle and equipment, promptly reporting any issues.
  • Load delivery vehicle meticulously, anticipating and addressing product shortfalls before departure.
  • Employ safe lifting techniques, prioritizing the secure movement of goods.
  • Drive truck safely to designated customer locations, executing deliveries efficiently.

Product Delivery and Pickup

  • Deliver and retrieve uniforms, linens, towels, mats, cleaning products, and other rental items.
  • Confirm accurate delivery quantities for each customer, reviewing inventories and storage areas during each visit.
  • Collect soiled goods and organize them securely in the vehicle.

Customer Service and Sales

  • Secure electronic signatures for invoices and collect necessary payments.
  • Foster consistent communication with key customer contacts, building rapport and adding value during each delivery.
  • Seek feedback from customers to enhance service levels, addressing inquiries and concerns proactively and timely.
  • Consult with customers on additional product options, involving the manager for complex opportunities.
  • Collaborate weekly with the manager to devise solutions for current customer needs, identifying opportunities for cross‑selling new products.

Post-Delivery Procedures, Reporting, and Professional Standards

  • Unload and organize soiled goods upon return to the branch, ensuring a neat and orderly vehicle.
  • Report any vehicle accidents, mechanical issues, or malfunctions promptly.
  • Maintain the vehicle in a tidy manner and reconcile all delivery data accurately during the route settlement process.
  • Demonstrate and develop competencies aligned with the role.
  • Uphold company values of integrity, respect, responsibility, and trust steadfastly.

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • A High School Diploma.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract required).
  • Experience in physically demanding roles with heavy lifting.
  • Proven experience in customer service, sales, and delivery services.
  • A track record of punctual work attendance.
  • Customer-focused and detail-oriented attributes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Lifting ability of 25 lbs. to load/unload product from truck without assistance and occasionally 50+ lbs. This position requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.

Schedule & Travel Requirements:

  • 4-day work week (Tuesday to Friday).
  • 10-hour shifts, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Travel required 2 days per week (Tuesday and Thursday) working out of town and away from home.

Compensation: The hourly rate that Canadian Linen and Uniform Service reasonably expects to pay for this position is $23.28 per hour, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
