Job summary

Giant Tiger is hiring at its Ottawa, Ontario location to join our store team. You will deliver friendly, efficient customer service, handle transactions at registers and SCOs, replenish merchandise near the checkout, and maintain displays and signage.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to store policies and safety guidelines. A typical schedule may include day shifts, evenings, and weekends with 35–40 hours weekly for full-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a high level of customer service.
• Record customer transactions in cash registers, mainline and SCOs.
• Replenish merchandise around the checkout area.
• Follow up on hot selling items and complete markdowns and SKU changes.
• Maintain planograms, labels, tickets and signing standards.
• Perform cycle counts as required.
• Ensure compliance of all policies when selling Tobacco and Lottery.
• Follow health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Keep checkout area clean and organized.
• Adhere to loss prevention best practices.
