We are seeking a highly organized and reliable Customer Service & Administrative Clerk to join our dynamic public sector team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and provide essential support across various administrative functions. Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front Desk Operations
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate contacts or service areas.
- Provide basic information to clients and the public in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls using a multi-line switchboard.
- Receive and issue payments, as required.
- Schedule and confirm appointments and arrange teleconferences.
Administrative & Clerical Support
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic and paper filing systems.
- Record and relay information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks.
- Maintain various work records, logs, and reports.
Communication & Coordination
- Operate a range of office equipment and software efficiently.
- Obtain and process information necessary for providing comprehensive customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless office operations.
Education & Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a customer service or administrative role.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook) is required.
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, electronic mail, and MS Windows.
Security & Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Basic Security Clearance.
- Must have reliable own transportation.
