Job summary

A leading beverage company based in Toronto is seeking an experienced professional for a business planning role. In this position, you will work closely with large retail customers to manage business planning, forecasting, and pricing. Responsibilities include timely reporting, developing Joint Business Plans, and analyzing key performance measures. Candidates should possess a relevant Bachelor’s degree, strong technical skills in data analysis, and a minimum of two years in the food or CPG industries.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • Two+ years' experience in food and/or CPG industries preferred.
  • Experience in finance, sales, category management, or business planning analysis are assets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting and insights to sales and management team.
  • Assist in the development & analysis of the Joint Business Plan.

About This Opportunity

In this role, you will work with our large store retail customers and National Account teams to establish and manage solid business planning, forecasting and pricing. Using customer‑syndicated data, you will conduct reviews with the account team to identify opportunities. You will also assist the account team by performing data analysis required for execution of the annual Joint Business Plan, facilitating the development and validation of business plans, providing insight into forecasting as part of a management routine, and playing a key role in day‑to‑day communication with the team.

Responsibilities
  • Provides timely and accurate reporting and insights to sales and management team, assists with field communication and assists Sales Management in presenting the Joint Business Plan.
  • Assist in the development & analysis of the Joint Business Plan, including opportunity assessments, industry benchmarking, gap analysis.
  • Analyze key measures against Joint Business Plan performance including Sources of Growth allocations, price/package variations, mix shifts, operational elements like out of stocks or minimal orders.
  • Identifies opportunities, conducts reviews with account team and prepare and provide input around KPI and Management Routine reports.
  • Support the team to launch innovations in stores and on digital platforms.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Two (2) plus years' experience in the food and/or CPG industries preferred.
  • Experience in finance, sales, category management, or business planning analysis are assets.
  • Coca-Cola system experience preferred.
  • Strong technical/computer skills (i.e., Excel, pivot tables, macros, Access) required.
