Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Cashier in Cambridge, ON to provide exemplary customer service at the checkout, handle cash accurately, and support store operations. You will assist customers with bagging, promote sponsor programs, and ensure a safe, clean work environment while maintaining register integrity.

The role offers on-site work at 22 Pinebush Rd, Cambridge, and the base pay starts from CAD 17.75 per hour, with opportunities to engage in various store programs and customer service tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or service not required but helpful.
• Ability to greet customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greets all customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Processes all purchase transactions in a timely and efficient manner, including deactivation of merchandise with respect to the EAS Program.
• Promotes company sponsor programs, i.e., credit card service, product protection and charity initiatives.
• Assists customers with bagging and loading of merchandise.
• Ensures safe work practices are followed including proper lifting and keeping a clean work area.
• Maintains register security and integrity through diligent cash handling, adherence to relevant company policies and awareness of surroundings.
• Refers appropriate service and transactional items to a Customer Service Manager as required.
