Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is seeking a Front End Associate in the Ottawa area to help guide customers to the right solutions during checkout. You will direct customers to open registers, ensure accurate and timely processing of transactions, and maintain a high standard of service.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of retail or cash handling experience, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years retail or cash handling experience is an asset.
• Ability to greet customers and manage the checkout flow.
• Knowledge of products and services and strong suggestion skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist at open registers to support checkout flow.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and suggest solutions to meet customer needs.
• Provide courteous service and minimize wait times at checkout.
• Promote services such as Credit, Extended Warranty, Tool Rental, Pro Services.
