Job summary

Shoppers Drug Mart store within the Loblaw Companies Limited family is seeking a part-time cashier associate to maintain excellent customer service at the checkout. You will greet customers, scan items accurately, handle cash and PC Optimum transactions, and ensure a tidy, compliant checkout area.

The role emphasizes teamwork, organization, and attention to detail, with training opportunities through Academy and a local owner-operator structure support.

Qualifications

• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers.
• Balances speed and accuracy when processing customer orders and payments.
• Demonstrates organization in checkout and merchandising areas.
• Maintains proper cash handling and product data entry.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service and positively engages with all customers
• Maintains a neat and organized checkout area
• Greets all customers and displays warm demeanor
• Accurately scans or enters product data
• Accurately accounts for cash and coupon, lottery, and PC Optimum
• Asks for customer’s PC Optimum Card during each transaction
• Ensures proper documentation completed with respect to customers receipt and return of goods
• Merchandises and maintains designated areas (i.e., facing, signing, labeling, etc)
• Ensures loss prevention Standards are followed
• Controls cash, lottery, and stamp inventory
• Presents proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines
• Complies with all health and safety regulations
• Complies with all store policies and procedures
• Ensures the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained
• Perform other duties as required
