This position is remote, but preference is for the role to be based in the Greater Toronto area as you will be in the office once a week to participate in meetings. About the Role:


We are looking for a Customer Business Manager for a 12-month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all facets of business planning and management to achieve targets within a portfolio of customers including a distributor, convenience and grocery banners. You will work within company strategies and policies to optimize Ferrero Canada distribution, display and promotion activities across all banners and build successful seasonal programs to drive Ferrero sales, market share and profitability. The Customer Business Manager will build annual strategic customer plans in order to deliver superior results against net sales, trade spend and sales fundamentals objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Business Development
    • Employ the tools and practices of: Fact Based Selling, Category Management and ROI analysis to fuel profitable top and bottom-line growth
    • Identify opportunities, gaps and risks and translate them into recommendations to drive volume and profit
  • Execute strategies to maximize profitable trade promotional activity (i.e. Flyer ads, Display and Customer specific promotional activities)
  • Manage a Distributor and support their sales development through product education, promotional & trade planning and internal collaboration
  • Develop Customer relationships with key contacts across departments and levels
  • Manage Volume, Trade Forecasting and Budget
Who we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 4+ years of Account Management experience; preferably within a CPG environment
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community (wholesale suppliers and retail customers)
  • Ability to develop and foster strong customer relationships and a cooperative environment
  • Solid communication, negotiation, presentation and basic financial literacy skills
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing and implementing a range of sales promotion programs and/or events
